Preparation typically involves dietary restrictions and bowel cleansing. You will receive specific instructions on how to prepare by our staff. In addition, you will need to pick up your prep kit at your pharmacy within 48 hours of your office visit. To ensure a good prep for your colonoscopy, we require you to fast starting the day prior to your procedure through completion of the procedure. It is extremely important that you follow the instructions given to you to ensure a good prep. A good prep is the only way we can provide you with a thorough examination.

The day of your procedure, you should not have any other obligations, such as, work, school, caring for small children, etc. You will need a driver to take you to and from the surgical center and to be with you for the next 24 hours as you recover.
Our physicians perform their procedures at Casper Surgical Center, Summit Medical Center, and Banner Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. For patients in Douglas they are performed at Memorial Hospital of Converse County and in Gillette they are performed at Powder River Surgical Center.
